[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), on the 16th, in 27 schools across 4 cities and provinces nationwide, in-person classes could not be held.
The Ministry of Education announced that as of 10 a.m. that day, the number of schools that adjusted their in-person class days increased by 7 from the previous day (20 schools), totaling 27 schools.
By region, 11 schools in Seoul, 7 in Gangwon, 5 in Daejeon, and 4 in Gyeonggi were unable to have students attend in person.
