Naver Receives A+ Grade in Governance Section of ESG Evaluation
"Striving to Maintain Transparent Governance"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver announced on the 16th that it was the only company among the top 10 companies by market capitalization to receive an A+ grade in the governance category in the '2020 Corporate Governance Evaluation' conducted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS).
This is a two-step improvement compared to last year. Naver also achieved an A grade in the overall rating, which is one step higher than last year.
The Korea Corporate Governance Service is an organization that conducts evaluation, research, and investigation on corporate governance and social responsibility, and holds the highest influence among domestic ESG evaluation agencies. Every October, it evaluates the sustainability of about 900 listed companies in Korea in three areas: Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G), and publishes the results divided into seven grades.
