Artist Park Bong-hyun's 'Silver High-Relief Repouss? Phoenix Pattern Teapot' was selected as the Presidential Award winner at the Korea Intangible Heritage Crafts Competition. The National Intangible Heritage Center and the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Crafts Association announced 136 winning works of the 45th Korea Intangible Heritage Crafts Competition on the 16th. The competition was established to awaken the meaning of tradition and transmission and to preserve and inherit the roots of our culture. It has discovered many traditional artisans over the years.

The Presidential Award went to Park Bong-hyun's 'Silver High-Relief Repouss? Phoenix Pattern Teapot.' The judging panel commented, "It is an almost perfect reproduction, demonstrating outstanding traditional and artistic qualities. The delicate and splendid craftsmanship stands out." The Prime Minister's Award was given to artist Bae Kwang-woo's 'Ganchil Inlayed Goryu Water Gold Pattern Vase,' and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award went to artist Kim Song-hee's 'Eight Scenes of Buddha.' The Cultural Heritage Administration Commissioner Award and the National Intangible Heritage Center Director Award were awarded to artist Son Wan-ok's 'Namiheung Bangryeongpo' and artist Ryu Oh-hyung's 'Eight-Panel Embroidered Folding Screen of Gilsangdo,' respectively. The awards ceremony and exhibition opening will be held on December 10 at the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Transmission Education Center exhibition hall.
