According to data submitted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to Yoon Jae-ok, a member of the People Power Party, from 2017 to last year, the Commission executed 22 radio advertisements, of which 13 (59%) were allocated to TBS.
In terms of expenditure, out of 325.92 million KRW, 152.62 million KRW (46.8%) was spent on advertising on TBS.
Among these, 7 advertisements were executed solely on "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory," with advertising expenses reaching 57.09 million KRW.
Rep. Yoon criticized, "TBS only broadcasts in Seoul. It is not appropriate to promote the Commission's systems or policies only to Seoul citizens."
In response, Chairperson Jeon Hyun-hee of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission explained, "I was informed that within the limited budget, they considered listenership and advertising rates to maximize advertising effectiveness."
