Prosecution Indicts Assemblywoman Jo Su-jin Without Detention on Charges of 'Underreporting Assets'
The Criminal Division 5 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 15th that it has indicted Jo Su-jin, a member of the People Power Party, without detention on charges of underreporting assets (violation of the Public Official Election Act).
Jo is suspected of underreporting approximately 1.1 billion won in assets during the declaration in the last general election. The prosecution is reported to have found circumstances indicating false reporting, including intentionally omitting 500 million won in bonds.
