Coupang Reports One COVID-19 Case at Siheung Camp
Confirmed Positive After Dining with Acquaintance Outdoors
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 15th that it received notification from the Gwangmyeong City Health Center that a staff member in charge of support operations at the Siheung camp tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and has taken immediate necessary measures such as closing the camp.
The employee was classified as a close contact and underwent testing after an acquaintance who dined with them externally was confirmed positive. Coupang immediately closed the Siheung camp, conducted additional disinfection, and informed all employees and visitors of the situation through text messages and verbal notifications.
