Jangseong-gun Implements Mandatory Registration for Beekeeping Farms
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 14th that it will implement a beekeeping farm registration system in accordance with the Act on the Promotion and Support of the Beekeeping Industry (Beekeeping Industry Act).
Accordingly, beekeeping farms in the region must register with the county by the 30th of next month.
The registration targets are beekeeping farms with 10 native bee colonies, 30 Western bee colonies, or 30 mixed colonies or more.
To register as a beekeeping farm, equipment and facilities related to honey harvesting that can block external contaminants must be equipped.
In particular, disinfection facilities and equipment for the breeding site to prevent pests and diseases must be provided, and a guide sign must be attached to the breeding site.
To apply, prepare photos of the breeding site, a layout of the breeding facilities, and documents proving the right to use the land of the breeding site (land register, lease contract), and visit the relevant eup/myeon administrative welfare center.
