Gwangju City Signs Business Agreement with Three Companies to Establish AI Business Infrastructure

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 14th that it has signed the 39th to 41st business agreements with AI-attracting companies Miso Information Technology Co., Ltd., Vroid Co., Ltd., and BTF Tech Co., Ltd. to establish a Gwangju-type AI business foundation, and will actively cooperate in creating the Gwangju AI ecosystem through the establishment of corporate entities and regional offices for each company.
Miso Information Technology Co., Ltd. is a company that provides AI platform supply and services by utilizing big data and commercial district analysis, medical information analysis research and solution development, social data collection and trend analysis, and its own developed solutions SmartAI and SmartTA.
Vroid Co., Ltd. is a company that develops AI platforms and enterprise chatbot solutions and provides AI-based voice and image application services.
BTF Tech Co., Ltd. holds a patent for a method of implementing online media services equipped with multi-voice systems, and provides TTS (Text to Speech)-based disaster message voice provision and audiobook solutions, as well as integrated welfare applications.
Through the business agreement, Miso Information Technology Co., Ltd. plans to establish a Gwangju corporation for big data and AI-based product development and services; Vroid Co., Ltd. will relocate its headquarters as an AI and software development company; and BTF Tech Co., Ltd. will relocate its headquarters for AI voice services, actively cooperating to create an AI-based ecosystem and new jobs in the Gwangju area.
The main agreement contents include ▲technical and policy consultation for creating an AI cluster ecosystem and building a business platform ▲promotion of headquarters relocation, establishment of Gwangju corporations and regional offices for nurturing AI talent and creating jobs ▲development, operation, and corporate promotion of various support programs for the AI industry ecosystem ▲planning and promotion of specialized personnel education and employment programs in the AI field.
Andongwook, CEO of Miso Information Technology Co., Ltd., promised, “As a company that has hired talent every year for the past three years, we will actively cooperate in job creation by hiring talent from the Honam region to strengthen AI research personnel capabilities.”
Choi Seong-do, CEO of Vroid Co., Ltd., said, “With experience in building AI platform and service businesses, we will do our best in talent recruitment and development to become a leading company in AI convergence business.”
Lee Jong-yeop, CEO of BTF Tech Co., Ltd., said, “Through the relocation of our headquarters, we want to be the foundation for Gwangju Metropolitan City to grow into the global center of AI,” adding, “We will do our best in talent recruitment and development to become a lever where technology born in Gwangju and the ideas of the headquarters meet to create high added value.”
