Damyang-gun Conducts 'Dementia Prevention Manager Training'
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Jeonnam Damyang-gun (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 14th that it conducted training on the 12th to cultivate dementia prevention managers for 30 residents.
This training will be conducted three times a week for a total of 24 hours until the 23rd, following quarantine guidelines such as temperature checks, hand sanitization, and mask-wearing in accordance with social distancing measures due to COVID-19.
Through this training, trainees will learn the necessary competencies to implement dementia prevention programs by attending various educational programs including understanding dementia, cognitive music, cognitive art, cognitive exercise, cognitive board games, cognitive reminiscence, and professional instructor techniques.
Those who complete the training will be awarded the Silver Cognitive Manager qualification and are expected to contribute to dementia prevention and improving the quality of life of local residents in daily life.

Kim Sun-bok, director of the Dementia Safety Center, said, “This training will cultivate dementia management capabilities in the local community and provide an opportunity for trainees to directly play a role for dementia patients and their families,” adding, “We will carry out various dementia prevention management projects to create a Damyang free from dementia worries.”
