'Launch Imminent' LG Electronics' World's First Rollable TV, Joint Marketing with Bentley
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Electronics is launching ultra-premium marketing ahead of the official release of the LG SIGNATURE OLED R.
From the 14th for six days, LG Electronics will hold a private event introducing the LG SIGNATURE OLED R for VVIP customers at the outdoor space "Namsan Terrace" on the 3rd floor of the Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Ahead of the LG SIGNATURE OLED R launch, LG Electronics is conducting joint marketing with the world-renowned luxury car brand Bentley, considering the symbolism of ultra-premium and rarity that the LG SIGNATURE OLED R possesses.
The event is by invitation only. Considering recent social distancing measures, only 2 to 3 people attend each session.
LG Electronics will jointly exhibit the Bentley Continental GT vehicle and the LG SIGNATURE OLED R. The purpose is to allow customers to experience the differentiated lifestyle presented by both brands.
LG Electronics offers various additional benefits to invited customers who apply to purchase the LG SIGNATURE OLED R during the event period. All attendees will also receive special commemorative gifts.
Last weekend, LG Electronics released a video hinting at the launch of the LG SIGNATURE OLED R on its YouTube channel and the dedicated microsite for the LG SIGNATURE OLED R. The video raises anticipation with a silhouette of the screen unfolding upwards and the message "Rolling Soon."
The LG SIGNATURE OLED R is the world's first rollable TV. It offers a differentiated user experience impossible with conventional TVs. While maintaining overwhelming picture quality, it unfolds the screen when customers watch and rolls the screen back into the main body when not in use. The exterior features real aluminum, and the speakers use fabric from the luxury brand Kvadrat, providing a classic yet luxurious design as a strong point.
LG Electronics plans to officially launch the LG SIGNATURE OLED R within this month.
