Seongdong-gu Seongdong Life Safety Learning Center Nationwide First Online Safety Experience Education
Distribution of Disposable Safety Experience Kits and Online Real-Time Training... Targeting 300 Households Until December
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) Seongdong Life Safety Learning Center is conducting a "non-face-to-face live safety experience" education program through real-time video training on essential skills for residents' safe daily life, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and fire extinguisher usage.
Seongdong Life Safety Learning Center, established in 2015 as the first comprehensive safety experience center in a Seoul autonomous district, is directly managed and operated by the district office. It has been conducting various safety programs in fields such as CPR, disaster safety, daily safety, and water safety.
As the COVID-19 pandemic prolonged, making on-site experience education difficult, the district prepared a real-time video education program so residents could receive safety education at home.
The education started on the 14th and will be held every Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday until December. It is conducted 30 times in total, with 10 households per session, through prior reservations both online and offline. Applications can be made anytime at the Seongdong Life Safety Learning Center.
Applicants will receive a disposable safety experience kit delivered to their homes in advance, consisting of a CPR training doll, fire extinguisher, and educational materials. Using this kit, they can easily learn safety education at home through real-time video, including ▲CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage ▲fire extinguisher usage ▲daily safety practices.
A district official stated, "This is the first online safety experience education conducted by a local government rather than a fire station nationwide. Through a separate video program, participants can interactively communicate with instructors at the learning center and receive various necessary safety education for daily life."
