The signing ceremony was held with Seongbuk-gu Mayor Lee Seung-ro and Oh Seung-sik, head of LH Seoul Regional Headquarters, exchanging the agreement documents. Both organizations promised to join forces to ensure youth housing stability, enhance employment and entrepreneurship capabilities, and revitalize the community.
This agreement was arranged to strengthen cooperation in anticipation of the move-in of the first youth social housing, ‘Anam Saenghwal,’ created by LH in Anam-dong, Seongbuk-gu for youth in housing vulnerable groups. ‘Anam Saenghwal’ was established by converting an existing tourist hotel into a dormitory. It consists of 122 residential units, community spaces, shared living spaces such as a shared kitchen and laundry room, and is operated by the social enterprise ‘Ibuki.’
Seongbuk-gu, which has actively promoted youth policies including the enactment of the nation’s first Youth Support Basic Ordinance, plans to utilize its accumulated youth policy infrastructure to support employment, entrepreneurship, and community programs for residents of ‘Anam Saenghwal’ and local youth.
Additionally, LH will provide spaces for operating related programs in Seongbuk-gu.

We express our gratitude to Korea Land and Housing Corporation for supplying youth social housing in our district, where there is high demand for youth rental housing.” He added, “We have promoted mixed-use youth startup rental housing projects such as SH and Dojeonsuk, and we will spare no support to make ‘Anam Saenghwal,’ a new form of social housing led by Seongbuk-gu, LH, and social enterprises, a successful case of youth social housing.”
