View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that Yang Gwang-yong, president of the Seoul Wando-gun Hometown Association and CEO of Inter Group, produced and delivered expo uniforms worth 50 million KRW on the 12th, expressing his wish for the successful hosting of the '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo.'
President Yang Gwang-yong has donated sportswear to elderly care facilities, elementary, middle, and high schools, and multicultural families in his hometown of Wando-gun with exceptional hometown affection. He is also an active member of the Honor Society, a high-donation club of the Community Fund.
Yang Gwang-yong said, “Following the expos in 2014 and 2017, I am looking forward to the 2021 expo as well,” adding, “Since we have achieved good results so far, I hope this time will be a great success and a significant contribution to the development of Wando.”
Shin Woo-cheol, the organizing committee chairman (Wando-gun governor), said, “President Yang Gwang-yong always shows great interest and affection for hometown matters and provides help, especially by supporting expo uniforms for three consecutive times. I sincerely thank him,” and added, “Encouraged by this support, we will do our best to prepare for the expo.”
The Wando International Seaweed Expo, held for the third time following 2014 and 2017, will take place for 24 days from April 23 to May 16 next year under the theme “Healing Sea, a Future of Hope Opened by Seaweed.”
