Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and continued social distancing, the number of blood donors sharply decreased, causing a shortage of adequate blood reserves and creating a need to secure emergency blood supply. Therefore, the group blood donation was conducted under strict compliance with quarantine guidelines.
This blood donation was carried out in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross Gwangju-Jeonnam Blood Center, and many related organizations, including county residents, public officials under the county, and Yeongam Police Station, actively participated.
