Professors of Music Education at Gyeongnam National University Participate in 'GoPumgyeok GoClassic Concert'
On the 15th at the 3·15 Art Center Small Theater
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The concert "Go Pumgyeok Go Classic Concert - The Great Beethoven" with the ensemble "Dear My Friend (hereafter DMF)," involving professors from the Department of Music Education at Gyeongnam National University, will be held on the 15th at the 3·15 Art Center Small Theater.
This concert, held as part of the Changwon Cultural Foundation's "2020 Performing Arts Group Support Project," was planned to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the integrated Changwon City, aiming to promote the development and harmony of local culture and arts, as well as to discover and support performance activities of musicians from the region.
In particular, the concert is held under the theme "The Great Beethoven" to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the musical genius Beethoven. The classical music group "Ensemble DMF," which pursues traditional chamber classical music (Music Director Lee Kyung-mi, professor at Gyeongnam National University), will perform Beethoven's representative works.
The concert is composed of two parts. In the first part, alumni musicians from the Department of Music Education at Gyeongnam National University, who are actively performing in the region, will present their performances. The opening stage will feature Beethoven's Piano Trio No. 5, Op. 70-1 "Ghost," 1st movement, performed by Heo Jun (violin), Yang Su-jin (piano), and Lee Ah-young (cello). This will be followed by a performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 8, Op. 13 "Path?tique," by pianist Jeong Jin-hee.

The second part begins with a segment titled "Josu-hyun's Talk Talk Talk with Stories." Professor Jo Su-hyun of Gyeongnam National University will share sincere stories about Beethoven along with the 1st movement of Piano Sonata No. 14, Op. 27-2 "Moonlight." Finally, Professor Lee Kyung-mi of Gyeongnam National University will conclude the concert with a performance of Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110.
