Temporary Job Opportunities for Unemployed and Temporarily Closed Self-Employed Aged 18-65
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is recruiting 246 participants for the local job project by the 16th to stabilize the livelihoods of employment-vulnerable groups and self-employed individuals facing economic difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This initiative aims to provide temporary jobs to residents experiencing economic hardship caused by COVID-19-related unemployment, business suspension, or closure, with a total budget of 822.68 million KRW. Eligible applicants are Seoul citizens aged 18 to 65 with the ability to work, prioritizing low-income unemployed individuals, those with suspended or closed businesses, freelancers, and other Gangnam-gu residents in need of livelihood support.
Selected participants will perform public administrative tasks such as supporting daily quarantine measures, including temperature checks at multi-use facilities, from October 26 to December 25.
The wage is 52,000 KRW for 6 hours per day. Including weekly holiday pay, monthly leave allowance, and snack expenses, participants can receive up to 1.3 million KRW per month. However, those currently participating in other job projects such as public work or Hope Job projects during the same period are restricted from applying.
