Jeonnam Province Conducts Export Consultations with 'Untact Market Development Team'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced on the 11th that it will conduct export consultations for an untact market development group in collaboration with the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Small and Medium Business Corporation.
This export consultation meeting will be held from the 12th to the 3rd of next month between 10 export companies located in the province and buyers from Sydney, Australia, and Manila, Philippines.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event will be conducted online. Export companies in the province will conduct consultations at the Jeollanam-do Small and Medium Business Promotion Agency’s video export consultation center and the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center’s video consultation center located in Seoul. Foreign buyers will participate from their local offices.
The consultation items include agricultural and marine food products such as seaweed, rice cakes, and smoked duck produced by the 10 companies, as well as cosmetics and industrial products.
To enhance buyers’ understanding of the products by allowing them to see, touch, and taste them directly, product samples were sent to the local sites last month.
Additionally, a recent video conference was held to help export companies in the province understand the preferences and market sizes of buyers in Australia and the Philippines, thereby increasing their understanding of market entry.
In particular, during the export consultations, local interpreters will visit buyers’ offices with samples to explain the products and interpret the consultations, thereby improving consultation efficiency and aiming to lead to actual exports.
Along with this, the province plans to support buyer invitation expenses and export company travel expenses to facilitate face-to-face consultations between export companies and buyers for actual export contract signings.
