This was in accordance with Article 8 of the Local Public Officials Proactive Administration Operation Regulations.
Im Taek-jin, Director of Regulatory Innovation Planning at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, gave a 2-hour online and offline lecture on the topic "Understanding Proactive Administration through Proactive Administration Cases."
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the district allowed only a minimal number of employees to attend the offline lecture, while most employees listened online.
Earlier this year, the district established an execution plan for proactive administration and has been continuing with pre-consultations, discovering best practices, and selecting outstanding public officials. Incentives such as the highest grade of performance bonuses are given to outstanding proactive public officials.
The district is accepting recommendations for outstanding proactive public officials for the second half of 2020 until the 23rd. The recommendation form is posted on the district website under the 'Proactive Administration Public Official Citizen Recommendation' section.
The selection of candidates is scheduled to take place around the end of the year.
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "We are conducting related training to encourage employees' proactive administration," and added, "We ask for the residents' great interest and participation in the selection of outstanding public officials for the second half of the year."
