BTS 'Dynamite' Music Video Screening at Samsung TV Stores Worldwide

"Dynamite" is the first song by a Korean artist to reach number one on the US Billboard main singles chart, the "Hot 100." The music video for this song recorded 110 million views within a day of its release on YouTube on August 21. On September 5, it surpassed 300 million views, and as of 8 a.m. on the 8th, it has garnered approximately 450 million views, attracting significant attention.
The music video has been praised for its visual appeal, featuring various colors, retro concept fashion, and props that match the song's atmosphere. Samsung Electronics expects consumers to experience vivid visuals through its ultra-high-definition TVs.
The Guinness World Records officially registered the "Dynamite" music video on September 1 (local time) in three categories: "Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours," "Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours," and "Most viewed YouTube music video by a K-pop group in 24 hours."
Joo Jong-seok, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said, "We are pleased to showcase the music video of global superstar BTS on Samsung TVs worldwide," adding, "This collaboration will provide a great opportunity for consumers around the world to simultaneously experience Samsung TV's advanced technology and BTS's high-quality performance."
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has held the number one position in the global TV market for 14 consecutive years until last year, and it is expected to maintain the top spot for the 15th consecutive year this year, led by QLED TVs and large-sized TVs. As of the first half of this year, Samsung Electronics recorded a 31.3% market share by value in the global TV market. This market share is similar to the combined shares of the three companies ranked second to fourth. Additionally, in the large-sized TV market of 75 inches and above, Samsung holds an overwhelming market share of 50.3% by value.
