[Golf Topic] Park Sung-hyun's Confidence: "I Achieved Good Results on a Difficult Course"
[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…Number 8 Park Sung-hyun (27, photo) shows strong confidence.
On the 7th (Korean time), after finishing a practice round at the Aronimink Golf Club (par 70, 6,577 yards) in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, USA, for the third LPGA major, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship (total prize money $4.3 million), she said, "I tend to perform well on difficult courses," adding, "There may be differences depending on condition and skill, but usually that has been the case." This challenging venue is evaluated as having a "long course and complex greens."
Unlike previous years, the tournament is held in autumn instead of summer. This is due to a delay of more than three months from June caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Park Sung-hyun, who said, "I seem to have more concentration on difficult courses," added, "I looked around the course and it seems very tough, so it will be a hard week, but if I consult sufficiently with my caddie and focus on my shots and putting, I expect good results."
