In the post, user A singled out those not participating in the strike, stating, "You need a certain level of loyalty skills to the company to act at that scale," and complained, "These days, they even eat lunch in shifts and rush in quickly during lunchtime." He added, "They sure live diligently," and commented, "I hope they enjoy the 'welfare' for bereavement of children," referring to the company’s condolence support system for employees who lose their children.
Another user posted, "The only person in our department not participating in the strike is also the only one who hasn’t gotten married," making personally insulting remarks such as, "He is selfish and clueless."
Industry insiders and outsiders alike are concerned that this situation may not simply be a labor-management conflict but could impact the overall organizational atmosphere within Samsung Electronics. Ongoing dissatisfaction over performance bonus gaps between the DS (Device Solutions) and DX (Device eXperience) divisions, as well as differences in direction within the union, have accumulated. As hardline responses drag on, it is interpreted that fatigue among members is also growing.
The Samsung Electronics Companion Labor Union, which is primarily composed of DX division members, previously withdrew from joint actions with the super-enterprise union, claiming that the voices of DX union members were not sufficiently reflected. It is known that nearly 4,000 DX division union members have applied to withdraw from the union. Some are reportedly considering filing an injunction against the super-enterprise union, demanding a wage agreement and a halt to the strike.

Meanwhile, as the union’s full-scale strike approaches and conflicts among employees escalate, management is said to be stepping up internal controls. On May 16, the management of the Samsung Electronics Semiconductor (DS) division sent an email to department heads, urging them to thoroughly manage the situation on site regarding industrial actions. The management reiterated that participation in the strike is entirely a matter of personal freedom and emphasized that there should be no pressure or conflict arising from the process.
