Since the operation of the "Very Good Love Meal Truck," which had been promoted so far, was suspended due to COVID-19, the city has been supporting single households with mobility difficulties who have trouble preparing meals since the first half of the year.
This side dish support project is being carried out with thorough quarantine and personal hygiene by the participation of 53 volunteer organizations, including the Mokpo Welfare Foundation and the Mokpo City Volunteer Council (President Kim Myung-jin), and is planned to continue until the end of COVID-19.
Chairman Lee Hyuk-young said, "Although we cannot operate the Love Meal Truck, I am glad to be able to give love and courage to neighbors in need through the side dish project."
Mayor Kim Jong-sik said, "Neighbors in vulnerable groups are having difficulties due to COVID-19, and I am grateful that Chairman Lee Hyuk-young and the Love Meal Truck volunteers are practicing neighborly love through the side dish sharing project."
