[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] An online job fair that provides 1 million KRW per person as an incentive to hiring companies will be held in Busan.
Busan City, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, and BNK Busan Bank are hosting the "Busan Online Job Fair" from the 12th to December 11th to overcome the employment crisis caused by COVID-19.
This "Busan Job Fair" is the first online event held by a metropolitan local government nationwide. It is a fully non-face-to-face fair where job applications, video interviews, and side events are conducted simultaneously online.
More than 150 small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies in the Busan area will operate recruitment booths, and native representative companies such as BNK Busan Bank and Korea South-East Power will participate in the fair through partner companies and side events.
Job seekers can access the fair’s website to apply for jobs and conduct video interviews online. They can also search for various job information through customized consulting for the hiring process such as resume writing and interviews, and the "Jobi Chatbot." Participants in the job fair have a chance to win various raffle prizes such as iPads, AirPods, and gifticons.
Participating companies can receive a BNK Busan Bank hiring incentive of 1 million KRW per person for up to 5 new hires.
They can also receive customized consulting from professional counselors composed of certified public accountants and certified labor attorneys. The main consulting topics include human resources, labor, accounting, finance, and introductions to various support policies from Busan City and the government, as well as application methods.
Companies participating in the fair can also receive a free corporate promotional video production service.
This fair offers various side events online, including ▲Live recruitment briefings, ▲Live employment lectures, and ▲Online interview coaching programs, and provides information on various job support policies and application methods through the ▲“Busan Ilpo You (Job for you) App.”
On October 15 and 22, live recruitment briefings will be held with participation from BNK Financial Group, Busan Port Authority, Korea South-East Power, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, Sunbo Industry, and Ananti Cove.
