As the integration of the two universities is becoming more tangible, Gyeongsang University has been experiencing difficulties, including the student council president issuing a statement, citing that students' opinions were not reflected. The student council presented five demands related to the integration of National Gyeongsang University and Gyeongnam National University of Science and Technology and requested a meeting with the president.
About 20 people, including the president, vice president for academic affairs, director of planning, planning team leader, student central autonomous organizations, college student council presidents, and general students, attended the meeting and discussed specific integration plans for one hour. The meeting was broadcast live on the student council's YouTube channel and through the GNU video broadcasting system operated by the Gyeongsang University newspaper and broadcasting station.
