Beopseoryeon "Recommend Minister Choo Mi-ae's Resignation"... Human Rights Commission Petition
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A conservative civic group has filed a petition with the National Human Rights Commission, demanding the resignation of Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, claiming that she made false explanations regarding suspicions about her son's military service.
The civic group "Action Alliance for Restoring the Rule of Law" (Beopse-ryeon) announced on the 4th that it had submitted a petition online to the Human Rights Commission, urging Minister Choo to resign.
In the petition, Beopse-ryeon argued, "Minister Choo disseminated false information to the public, infringing on the people's right to know, pursuit of happiness, and personal rights, suppressing freedom of the press, and damaging the nation's dignity, and therefore should be recommended to resign from her ministerial position."
