The employee's family member was confirmed positive for COVID-19, and the employee did not go to work on the 28th but underwent a diagnostic test, receiving the positive result on the morning of that day. Employees in the same team switched to remote work after working on the morning of the 28th.

The Bank of Korea stated, "The Gangnam Headquarters, where the confirmed case occurred, will close the building today and conduct disinfection," adding, "Normal work is scheduled to resume on the 5th of next month after the Chuseok holiday." The public service operations of the Issuance Department, which are conducted in the same building as the Gangnam Headquarters, will be carried out by the Gyeonggi and Incheon Headquarters.
