NS Home Shopping Donates 65 Million KRW to Gyeongsangbuk-do Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NS Home Shopping announced on the 29th that it donated 65 million KRW to the 'Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund' to support medical staff and farmers and fishermen in Gyeongsangbuk-do who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and consecutive typhoons.
The total donated fund of 65 million KRW includes 30 million KRW raised through the 'Thanks Challenge' campaign held in July via the NS Shopping Book catalog. This amount will be used to purchase products that help strengthen the immunity of medical staff working hard on COVID-19 treatment in the Gyeongbuk region.
The remaining 35 million KRW is planned to be used for the 'Agricultural Food Export Specialist Training Support' project, which will be conducted in October targeting young farmers in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The 'Agricultural Food Export Specialist Training Support' project is an educational support program designed to help young farmers pioneer the non-face-to-face online distribution market to revitalize agricultural food sales in the post-COVID-19 era.
Meanwhile, the 'Rural Coexistence Cooperation Fund' handover ceremony held on the 28th at the Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial office was attended by NS Home Shopping CEO Dosangcheol Do, Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Cheolwoo Lee, and other officials.
