Jeju to Distribute Special Childcare Support Funds Early Before Chuseok
Special Childcare Support Fund of 200,000 KRW per Child Born After January 2014 to Be Paid on the 28th
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Chang-won] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will pay the Child Special Care Support Fund on the 28th, following the confirmation of the government's 4th supplementary budget.
The Child Special Care Support is a project to alleviate the unavoidable care and economic burdens caused by the spread of COVID-19, with a total project cost of 7.4 billion KRW (fully funded by the national government).
The target recipients of this Child Special Care Support Fund as of September 25 are a total of 36,546 children.
The payment targets are children receiving child allowance who were born between January 2014 and September 2020, and the payment amount is 200,000 KRW per person.
Considering the speed of execution and convenience for families raising children, the payment will be made in cash to the existing child allowance payment accounts without a separate application.
Exceptionally, elementary school students who received child allowance in September this year will be paid through school banking by the Office of Education.
For those born in September but with delayed birth registration, the Child Special Care Support Fund will be paid together with the child allowance until December only if the birth is registered within 60 days of the birth date.
