Germany IFO Business Climate Index at 93.4... Falls Short of Expectations
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The German Economic Research Institute (IFO) announced on the 24th (local time) that the IFO Business Climate Index, which indicates the business confidence of German companies, recorded 93.4 in September.
This is higher than the previous month (92.6). However, it falls slightly short of the expert forecast of 93.8 compiled by Bloomberg.

In the same month, the IFO Expectations Index, which reflects the economic outlook for the next six months, rose slightly to 97.7 from 97.5 in the previous month. The IFO Current Conditions Index, indicating the current economic situation, improved from 87.9 in the previous month to 89.2.
