Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Conducts Disinfection at Bus Stops and Other Areas Ahead of Chuseok
59 Volunteer Firefighters Participating on the 28th-29th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 24th that it will conduct intensive disinfection and sterilization of bus stops and facilities for the disabled over two days starting from the 28th.
This measure is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The disinfection will be carried out by 59 members of the Gwangsan Volunteer Fire Brigade (Captains Lee Giyeop and Yoon Miseon), targeting 145 bus stops and 10 facilities for the disabled within the jurisdiction.
They plan to conduct disinfection activities using ultrafine particle sprayers and disinfectants.
The Gwangsan Volunteer Fire Brigade has conducted disinfection and sterilization at 44 locations over 35 sessions with 118 members from last March, when the spread of COVID-19 was at its peak, until last month.
