Jin-ae Kim Requests Witness Appearance of Jo Sang-hoon, President of Chosun Ilbo... "I Will Uncover the Secret Meeting Allegations with Yoon Seok-yeol"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] On the 23rd, Kim Jin-ae, a member of the Open Democratic Party, announced that she has requested Bang Sang-hoon, president of Chosun Ilbo, and Yoon Dae-jin, deputy director of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, to appear as witnesses at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office National Assembly audit, and Hwang Hee-seok, former director of the Human Rights Bureau at the Ministry of Justice, as a reference.
She heard a media report last July that when Yoon Seok-yeol was the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, a case involving the Bang family of Chosun Ilbo was reported to the Central District Prosecutors' Office, and that Prosecutor Yoon secretly met with President Bang. Kim said, "It is known that the person who reported the related facts to former Minister Park was Yoon Dae-jin, then director of the Prosecutor's Office at the Ministry of Justice (currently deputy director of the Judicial Research and Training Institute)."
Kim said, "If the head of the investigative agency met the person involved in the case in a private setting, it should be subject to inspection," and added, "Since requesting materials from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on the 21st of last month, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office has not responded for over a month, so I will resolve the suspicion of collusion between Yoon Seok-yeol and President Bang Sang-hoon (secret meeting) at the Judiciary and Legislation Committee audit."
