Prime Minister Jeong Undergoes COVID-19 Test After Staff Confirmed Positive... Awaiting at Home (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun underwent a test for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the 22nd and entered home quarantine.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, around 10:20 a.m. that day, an employee working at the Prime Minister's Office was notified of a positive COVID-19 test result.
Although Prime Minister Chung was not in close contact with the confirmed employee, he proactively canceled his schedule and underwent a diagnostic test at a screening clinic in Jongno-gu.
Prime Minister Chung plans to self-isolate at home until the test results are available.
