In the appeal letter, Mayor Kang stated, "The spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) continues to expand," and appealed, "For this Chuseok, please refrain not only from hometown visits by family and acquaintances who have moved away but also from visiting children or relatives living in other regions."
He also reminded operators of high-risk facilities such as entertainment bars, karaoke rooms, and buffets to strictly comply with the gathering restriction orders and COVID-19 prevention guidelines. The quarantine promotion leaflet includes illustrated rules that must be followed in daily life.
Mayor Kang emphasized, "For the safety of families and neighbors and the recovery of the local economy, please strictly observe quarantine rules such as wearing masks, washing hands, regularly using hand sanitizer, and practicing social distancing along with personal hygiene management."
