Earlier, on the 8th, Yoon Ji-oh posted on his social network service (SNS) account a video of a birthday party at a famous hotel in Toronto, Canada. Along with the video, Yoon wrote, "Thank you for the surprise party."
Yoon Ji-oh is suspected of pocketing donations after claiming to be a witness in the late Jang Ja-yeon case. He established a nonprofit organization for witness protection and raised 140 million won in donations but was sued. He was also reportedly sued for defamation and insult by writer Kim Soo-min, who was assisting with the publication of a book titled "The Thirteenth Testimony." Yoon is currently under police investigation with an Interpol red notice issued against him, but prosecution was suspended in May due to his overseas departure.
Netizens are holding Rep. Ahn responsible, criticizing him for actively supporting Yoon Ji-oh while Yoon continued to expose the Jang Ja-yeon case domestically.

After the Interpol red notice was issued for Yoon Ji-oh, Rep. Ahn said, "Lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties who tried to help Yoon with good intentions are now in a difficult position. It is all my fault."
Currently, Rep. Ahn's Facebook page is flooded with comments such as "Rep. Ahn, you need to resolve what you have done," "When will you bring Yoon Ji-oh back?" and "Go to Canada and bring Yoon Ji-oh back."

Meanwhile, in response to criticism over the Canada party video, Yoon Ji-oh stated on his SNS on the 17th, "I was never subject to a red notice in the first place, but only a red notice application was made in Korea, and I learned about the passport invalidation not from the police but from the media." He added, "It is shocking that such proceedings are conducted against an individual who is not a criminal in Korean society, and because of this, I am receiving even more thorough protection in Canada."
