Jang Je-won Establishes Busan Think Tank... "Unrelated to Busan Mayoral Candidacy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party who is mentioned as one of the opposition candidates in the Busan mayoral by-election next April, will establish a political think tank called 'Busan Innovation Forum' in Busan on the 18th.
On the 17th, Jang announced the forum's launch on Facebook, saying, "Through this forum, I want to discover the next generation of leaders in Busan."
The inaugural general meeting of the Busan Innovation Forum will be held on the afternoon of the 18th at the Busan Ilbo auditorium, with Kim Byung-joon, chairman of the People Power Party Sejong City branch and well known as an 'advocate of local decentralization,' delivering a special lecture.
He said, "I have always wanted to create a practical and authoritative think tank in Busan, the place where I have lived," adding, "Various media outlets have linked this to my potential candidacy for Busan mayor, but that is not the case at all."

Jang stated, "With a heart to repay the citizens of Busan who raised me as a three-term lawmaker, I want to design a new dream for Busan and share it with the citizens," and added, "I will work hard without neglecting either central politics or regional development."
