Busan Bank Launches 2nd BNK Fintech Lab... Continues Fostering Fintech Startups

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 17th that it held the launch ceremony for the ‘BNK Fintech Lab 2nd Cohort’ to professionally nurture fintech startups at ‘Centap’ in U-dong, Haeundae-gu.
The launch ceremony was attended by 20 companies that were finally selected, and among them, 10 companies from the metropolitan area participated non-face-to-face using the video conferencing system ‘ZOOM’ in response to the COVID-19 situation.
The companies selected for BNK Fintech Lab 2nd Cohort include innovative companies in various fields such as TenCube (data analysis based on card SMS history), Centbee (personal overseas easy remittance), IGnet (online insurance product recommendation), and Agora Innovation (ship finance crowdfunding platform).
In particular, Agora Innovation is a German company operating a ship finance crowdfunding platform based on STO (Security Token Offering), and it is expected to create synergy effects with Busan Bank, the operator of the Busan blockchain regulatory free zone project.
Selected startups will be supported with various accelerating programs such as BNK Fintech Lab residency, professional mentoring, networking events, and programs necessary for business expansion and global advancement.
Additionally, through the BNK Financial Group Council, opportunities for collaboration and investment attraction with BNK Financial Group affiliates including Busan Bank will also be provided.
