ARMY, First Integrated Store at Hyundai Pangyo Branch
The Largest Domestic Size of 93㎡ (Approx. 28 Pyeong)
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Ami, the French designer brand under Samsung C&T Fashion Division, announced on the 17th that it has opened the first integrated store for both men's and women's lines in Korea on the 6th floor of Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch.
Ami's integrated store is the largest among Ami stores in Korea, with an area of 93㎡ (approximately 28 pyeong). The interior, applying a global store concept, was completed by incorporating architectural elements of the Paris boutique in France. The pattern finished with black color and wood paneling, mirror tables and walls, and brass material hangers allow customers to fully experience the brand's unique mood.
In particular, the store consists of the signature heart collection including shirts, sweatshirts, cardigans, as well as men's collections such as hoodies and pants, women's collections including denim and jackets, and accessory lines such as leather bags, shoes, and scarves.
Ami sells exclusive items such as short-sleeve T-shirts and sweatshirts, which are only available in Korea worldwide, not only at the integrated store but also at Ami stores nationwide and Samsung C&T’s integrated online mall SSF Shop.
Samsung C&T Fashion Division is developing the Ami business through 10 Corso Como Seoul Cheongdam Branch and AvenueL Branch, Galleria Department Store Apgujeong Branch, Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Branch and Trade Center Branch. As of the second week of September this year, Ami's sales have increased by nearly 300% compared to the same period last year.
Exclusive products such as sweatshirts and cardigans with the heart logo design, as well as big heart T-shirts and sweatshirts, have played a significant role in driving sales.
Song Aeda, team leader of 10 Corso Como, said, “We started domestic business with the launch of Ami in 2011, and this year we are expanding the business by opening not only a men's-only store but also an integrated store.” She added, “Based on the business capabilities of 10 Corso Como Seoul, we will carry out successful brand incubating to create a second Ami or Lemaire.”
Meanwhile, Ami is a brand established in 2011 by Alexandre Mattiussi, a French menswear designer who previously worked for Dior Homme and Givenchy. The brand name Ami means ‘friend’ in French. It is also an abbreviation of the founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi’s name.
