One Additional COVID-19 Case in Gwangju Area...Total 485 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gwangju has stabilized, with only one new case reported.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 17th, a man in his 70s was diagnosed with COVID-19 the previous day and was classified as Gwangju case number 485.
He resides in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, and was confirmed to have had contact with case number 484. Case 484 is a contact of case 483, whose infection route is still under investigation.
Among the 485 confirmed cases reported so far in Gwangju, 391 have fully recovered and been discharged, 91 are undergoing treatment, and 3 have died.
A total of 144,801 people have been tested, with 143,888 testing negative and 428 tests currently in progress.
The number of contacts of confirmed cases is 10,797, with 2,868 currently in quarantine.
