On the 15th (Korean time), the LPGA Tour announced, "Due to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's quarantine guidelines and travel restrictions related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the tournament will be postponed to 2021." They added, "Although the BMW Ladies Championship has been canceled, we are discussing development plans for Korean golf and the local community with BMW." The event was originally scheduled to take place over four days starting October 22 at the LPGA International Golf Course in Busan.
