This Chuseok, a Gift for Me... Lotte ON Hosts 'Chuseok Coupon Expedition Luxury DAY'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte ON will hold the ‘Chuseok Coupon Expedition Luxury Day’ on the 16th.
During this one-day event on the 16th, products from 35 brands including Gucci, Prada, and Thom Browne will be offered at discounts of up to 35%. Until now, the product lineup mainly consisted of accessories such as bags, shoes, and wallets, but this time, the selection has been expanded by strengthening fall and winter apparel items.
Representative products include the ‘Gucci GG Canvas Tote Bag,’ ‘Prada Saffiano Leather Clutch Bag,’ ‘Burberry Kensington HD Trench Coat,’ and ‘Thom Browne Back Samseon Logo Men’s Sweatshirt,’ with limited quantities available for each product.
Since the first half of this year, Lotte ON has been selling luxury goods from Lotte Duty Free’s inventory and parallel imported products purchased directly, establishing itself as an online luxury sales channel. The proportion of luxury goods in Lotte ON’s total sales increased more than twofold from around 10% in May to 24.7% and 23.2% in June and July, respectively. Even in August, when there were no major luxury events, it maintained about 15%, holding the highest sales share among single categories.
Lotte ON analyzed that while the proportion of luxury purchases through online channels such as overseas direct purchase and secondhand transactions is increasing, there are also many cases of fraud, leading to a rise in luxury purchases on trusted sites.
Meanwhile, Lotte ON will hold the ‘Mind Quarantine Luxury Sale’ until the 4th of next month, selling luxury goods from Lotte Duty Free’s inventory. Over 1,800 products from 66 brands including Bottega Veneta, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Etro will be offered at discounts of up to 70%.
