Uljin County Council Concludes 241st Extraordinary Session... Approves Basic Income of 100,000 Won for All Residents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Uljin County Council in Gyeongbuk (Chairman Lee Se-jin) concluded a seven-day session with the closing ceremony of the "241st Extraordinary Session" held on the 10th in the council's main chamber.
During this extraordinary session, the Uljin County Council deliberated and approved seven items, including the 3rd supplementary budget for the 2020 general account and other special accounts, the 1st supplementary budget for the local public enterprise water supply business special account, and the occasional shared property management plan.
This supplementary budget also included funds to provide disaster basic income of 100,000 KRW per person to approximately 48,000 residents to revitalize the local economy amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairman Lee Se-jin requested the executive branch to "swiftly execute the Uljin County disaster basic income support funds approved in this supplementary budget before Chuseok, to help households in difficulty, and to thoroughly ensure that no damage caused by Typhoon Haishen, the 10th typhoon, is overlooked during the damage investigation."
