Israel and UAE Achieve Diplomatic Milestones in Succession
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a peace agreement has been reached between Israel and Bahrain. With a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) scheduled to be signed at the White House on the 15th, another Middle East peace agreement has been achieved.
On the 11th (local time), President Trump tweeted, "Today, another 'historic' breakthrough has been made!" and stated, "Our two 'great' friends Israel and Bahrain have agreed to a peace agreement." He added, "The second Arab country to make peace with Israel within 30 days!"
On the same day, the U.S., Israel, and Bahrain announced the agreement through a joint statement. The joint statement said, "President Trump, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today and agreed to establish full diplomatic relations between Israel and Bahrain."

President Trump has strengthened his diplomatic achievements ahead of the presidential election by consecutively succeeding in negotiations for Middle East peace. He was also nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the peace agreement between Israel and the UAE.
