According to Wando Maritime Police, on the 11th, while salvaging the sunken vessel A (4.79t, registered in Yeosu) docked at Wando Port and towing it to the former Wando Maritime Police exclusive pier (Agricultural and Industrial Complex), a person fell into the sea from vessel B (0.75t, registered in Wando), which was making a high-speed turn. The pollution control boat No. 1 belonging to Wando Maritime Police discovered and rescued the person.
The drowning person, Mr. L (male, born in 1963), was confirmed to have no particular health issues and was transported to Wando Port and then sent home.
Vessel B, which was still turning, was towed by a coastal rescue boat and handed over to Mr. L at the Wando Fisheries Cooperative auction site.
