[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] On the 7th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he would break the 'China dependence' in the U.S. manufacturing sector.
President Trump said during a briefing on Labor Day holiday, "There has never been a country that has exploited us (the U.S.) like China has," and added, "China is using the money we gave them to strengthen their military. Therefore, 'decouple' is an interesting word."
The decoupling President Trump referred to means the 'de-synchronization phenomenon' of severing economic ties with other countries that have been closely connected until now.
