Gong Gi-yeong of Haman Receives Governor's Commendation at the 12th Resource Circulation Day

Mr. Gong joined Yeongang Industry Co., Ltd., a subcontracted company for the collection and transportation of household waste in Haman-gun, in January 2008 and has been working as a sanitation worker ever since. This award is especially meaningful as it was given just before his retirement at the end of this year.
According to the county, Mr. Gong has devoted himself to environmental cleanliness tasks such as collecting household waste, bulky waste, and food waste. In particular, his contributions to the resource recycling field, including the collection and separation of recyclables, were highly recognized.

The county evaluated, "Food waste is very difficult to handle due to its high moisture content during collection," adding, "Nevertheless, he has always taken the initiative and also promoted separation and disposal methods to local residents, greatly contributing to the creation of a clean Haman-gun."
