Samsung Display Achieves 'Highest Excellence' Grade in Win-Win Growth Index for 3 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Display announced on the 8th that it received the highest grade, the top excellence, for three consecutive years in the '2019 Win-Win Growth Index Evaluation.'
The 'Win-Win Growth Index,' announced once a year by the Win-Win Growth Committee, is an evaluation that classifies the level of win-win growth of domestic large corporations into five grades (top excellence, excellence, good, average, poor) based on surveys of small and medium-sized enterprises' perception of large corporations' win-win management and the evaluation of fair trade agreement implementation performance.
This year, about 200 companies were evaluated, and a total of 35 companies, including Samsung Display, received the top excellence grade.
Samsung Display operates various win-win growth programs, such as supporting research and development (R&D) funds and smart factory construction for small and medium-sized partner companies.
Since 2010, Samsung Display has implemented CrePas (Creative Partnership), which supports R&D costs up to 1 billion KRW for small and medium enterprises with technological ideas, and operates an incentive system for excellent partner companies in categories such as innovation, productivity, and safety. Additionally, it has established a fund worth approximately 500 billion KRW to support the management stabilization of partner companies and runs employee education programs for partner companies.
To improve the productivity and manufacturing competitiveness of partner companies, Samsung Display has been conducting a smart factory construction support project for three years. Through this, 42 companies achieved a total financial cost reduction effect of 20 billion KRW, and key production efficiency-related items improved by about 30-40% compared to before.
