Gokseong-gun Discovers 180 New and Priority Policies for Next Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 7th that it discovered 180 new projects through the ‘2021 Major Policy Report Meeting’ held from the 1st to the 4th.
The report meeting was held by department under the leadership of the county governor, where department heads presented the new policies they prepared together with their staff. After the reports, the county governor and vice governor questioned the necessity, effectiveness, and implementation methods of each policy, suggesting better directions and alternatives.
By sector, ▲ in the field of activating resident participation, training grassroots resident autonomy activists stood out. This is to proactively respond to the current administration’s decentralization policy, strengthen autonomy capabilities, and use it as a foundation to promote development strategies suited to local characteristics. ▲ In the economy and job sector, fostering youth merchant organizations was representative.
This aims to organize the young and energetic energy of youth merchants as a driving force to bring changes to existing commercial districts.
Additionally, ▲ in tourism, the creation of Donghwa Garden green pocket forest, ▲ in agricultural policy, the establishment of a blueberry joint shipment system, and ▲ in living environment, the relocation and installation of a sanitation treatment plant were among various policies reported.
Gokseong-gun plans to supplement the contents by collecting various proposals and opinions exchanged during the report meeting. Subsequently, policies with high feasibility will be carefully reviewed for budget appropriateness, feasibility, and expected effects, and reflected in next year’s budget.
It also announced efforts to secure national and provincial budgets through consultations with related departments of the central government and Jeonnam Province. In particular, 35 out of the 180 new policies will be promoted in connection with the government’s Korean New Deal.
