Gyeongbuk Province Sweeps 4 Grand Prizes at the 'Social Eye Awards'
Selected for Four Categories: YouTube, Blog, Facebook, and Instagram
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The official SNS (social networking service) channels operated by Gyeongsangbuk-do swept the grand prizes in four categories for metropolitan local governments at the nation's most prestigious 'Social Eye Awards 2020'.
At this event, Gyeongbuk Province won grand prizes in four categories: YouTube, blog, Facebook, and Instagram, gaining recognition for its excellent content and communication achievements with residents.
Hosted by the Korea Internet Professional Association, the Social Eye Awards is the most prestigious domestic awards event that selects and honors the most innovative and exemplary social media cases of the year. The evaluation was conducted by 3,500 internet expert judges over the course of July, who comprehensively scored 15 indicators across five categories: content, marketing, service, visual, and brand.
In this evaluation, Gyeongbuk Province received high praise for its communication with residents and practical, relatable content, as well as for breaking the stereotype that existing public institution content is boring and unoriginal by producing fun and groundbreaking content. Gyeongbuk Province's official YouTube channel, 'Boiso TV', ranks second among metropolitan local governments with 73,500 subscribers.
In particular, series such as 'Our Neighborhood Pride' supporting small business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and 'What Are You Doing Now' featuring employees themselves, provide both entertainment and information through collaborations with local and famous creators.
