[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] According to Daejeon City, out of 607 religious facilities inspected, in-person worship services were confirmed at 28 locations.
On the 23rd of last month, Daejeon City issued an administrative order allowing only non-face-to-face regular worship services, masses, and Buddhist ceremonies, while completely banning small group religious activities such as retreats, group meals, and district worship services.
However, on the 30th of last month, 128 locations conducted in-person worship services. In response, the city sent official letters urging the prohibition of gatherings.
