View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank's local subsidiary in Vietnam, Shinhan Vietnam Bank, announced on the 4th that it sponsored the renovation of the library at the Korean International School in Hanoi, Vietnam, named Ipji Seogwan (立志書館), and held an opening ceremony.
The new name of the Hanoi Korean International School library, Ipji Seogwan, was given by scholar Kim Yong-ok (Do-ol) and means "a place to study with great aspirations."
The opening ceremony held on the 1st was attended by Shin Dong-min, head of Shinhan Vietnam Bank, Choi Kwang-ik, principal of the Hanoi Korean International School, Lee Jae-eun, chairman of the Hanoi Korean International School, Eun Mira, president of the parents' association, as well as Jung Woo-jin, consul general of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, Yoon Sang-ho, president of the Hanoi Korean Association, and Kim Han-yong, chairman of the Hanoi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A representative of Shinhan Vietnam Bank said, "Through the reopening of the Ipji Seogwan at the Hanoi Korean International School, we hope that the students will grow into talents who can expand globally," adding, "Shinhan Vietnam Bank will continue to carry out various social contribution projects that can contribute to the development of the Korean community in Vietnam."

Meanwhile, Shinhan Vietnam Bank supported the opening of the 'Shinhan Future Information Center' library at the Ho Chi Minh Korean International School in June and signed a business agreement in August with Van Lang University, a major private university in Ho Chi Minh City, for school banking, scholarship financial support, and an internship system at Shinhan Vietnam Bank, carrying out various activities for the Vietnamese MZ generation.
